Notary Services (power of attorney)

Notary services are exclusively offered to Egyptian citizens who apply in person at the Consulate.

The Consulate may not offer advice on personal/private legal matters.

  • Original valid National ID card or valid Egyptian passport
  • Have completed a power of attorney document (available below). Do not sign the document. You are required to sign it at the Consulate.
  • Be present at the Consulate during our walk-in hours of 9:30AM to 2:00PM Monday to Friday
  • Fees: AUD $105.00 (Cash)

Applicants who do not satisfy the above requirements

If you can not be present at the Consulate, or do not hold a valid Egyptian National ID card or a valid Egyptian passport, alternatively documents can be notarized by an Australian Notary Public for the use in Egypt.

This is a four-step process which requires the following:

Step 1: Complete a power of attorney document (Template documents available below).

Step 2: Have your documents executed in front of an Australian Notary Public

Step 3: Have the signature and seal of the Notary Public authenticated by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Step 4: Submit the document to the Consulate for authentication. (Document Authenticate Service)

These documents are templates that may be altered to fulfil the requirements of the authority it is being presented to.
